Like most women I now know, after hitting puberty, my body shape changed from a gangly stick figure to a curvy, pear shape. At 37 years old, (yes, I am proud of my age AND my body!) I am no longer concerned with quick fixes or extreme diets and have taken ownership that my body is shaped like a pear.

Before having children, I was size extra small on top (size 2). After having my son and losing the 80lbs. I gained from being pregnant, (and getting sick – which is another story, for another blog post) I am now a small or medium on top (size 4-6).

Having a small waist and big booty gives me curves and makes me feel beautiful and feminine. I am larger on bottom than I am on top. I am Pear… hear me ROAR!!! On bottom, I wear mostly a medium size bottom to size large (size 6-10 – depending upon the brand and designer).

Being pear shaped presents certain challenges. For instance, when I work out, I need longer length workout tops that sit below my waist because, I hate the way a short top will curl at the bottom, rolling up onto my waist.
